Why QUANTUM?
European regulations are taxing the generation of non-recycled plastic packaging waste as well as the use of virgin plastic material. Thus, there is a great need to use recycled plastic material in the packaging composition to comply with the criteria and standards established by the relevant global organizations.
On the other hand, high-value applications such as hygiene, cosmetics, and food contact packaging require best quality plastics. To reach these standards, it is mandatory to carry out an effective risk assessment of the recycled product to ensure that it is not harmful either to the product to be packaged or to the final consumer.
At present, finding out what substances of concern are existing in recycled plastics and establishing an appropriate safety evaluation is an arduous and time-consuming task.
